Hi, I’m MARIA BARR.
I bring over a decade of experience at the intersection of marketing and sustainability, partnering with organizations across the nonprofit, philanthropic, and corporate sectors to elevate climate and social justice initiatives. My work has focused on helping brands of all sizes communicate with purpose and drive meaningful impact.
In 2023, I experienced burnout while balancing a full-time career, raising a family, and grappling with the realities of the climate crisis. This became a turning point—an invitation to pause, heal, and reconnect with a deeper sense of purpose.
Through that journey, I discovered that there is support and healing for climate anxiety. I went on to earn a Certificate in Climate Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, where I learned how to help others acknowledge their climate emotions and build the resilience to keep moving forward.
At the same time, navigating my own health challenges led me to a more holistic path to well-being. I became a Certified Health & Wellness Coach through the University of California San Diego, and now guide others in creating lasting change so they can live healthier, more vibrant lives.
I live in Pacifica, California with my husband, two young boys, and two spirited French bulldogs. You’ll often find me at the beach, in a yoga studio, or at a favorite local coffee shop.
